The most emphasis comment is the continuation of the project and up-scaling on rice monitoring to meet the demands and requirements of different public/private bodies. Workshop participants also urgently request concerned organizations such as MARD, NSO, and some other private agencies to consider outputs of RIICE as an official source of information for decision making support.

The RIICE Phase II - scaling-up phase of RIICE has successfully implemented rice monitoring in 10 provinces in both Red River and Mekong River regions. This phase has also proved the capability of monitoring a large-scale rice coverage across the nation. In the next phase, extended coverage has been considered to add into routine work that will cover the whole two regions.
