Red River delta's rice fields have entered harvesting time since the first week of June 2016. Favorable weather condition does not only nurture the last stage of rice plants, but also support farmers for field activities, especially crop transportation from fields to storage.

Except a couple districts in Ha Noi, Ha Nam and Vinh Phuc provinces, where early rice have been harvested, the rests are reaching harvest time within one or two weeks. Field observations noted busy activities in the harvested fields where farmers started land preparation process for the next season right away.

Outputs from satellite data processing and yield forecast model provide an estimation of 490,000 ha planted rice and 6.2 tons/ha yield in average of the whole region in this Winter-Spring 2016. Further details can be accessed via end-season bulletin as belows:
